Dear Me/Steven Zhou future,
I would like to first address the difference between the personality I have now and the one in the future. It is also important to write down the things I strive for to compare and see if I achieved anything in the future. Note that when writing about personality it all depends on perspective and self esteem. As a 16 year old, my self esteem is higher than many others in my opinion. I hold back my confidence to not seem as aggressive or rude. Past experiences will shape who you are today but future me can easily forget memories made in the past. I am a laid back person. I see myself as a strong person not physically but mentally. I use my past experiences to teach my future self how to overcome things that may come in the future. When judging things I want to choose things that will benefit me and if I like the other person, it can also benefit them. I am also a selfish and greedy person but it depends. Taking a leadership role is important to me because it teaches me how to be a better person. As a leader in school, JROTC, and a teacher I learn to set aside my selfish and greddiness for the benefit of others. Currently I run a Ryzen 5 3600 paired with a XFX RX580. In the future I want to upgrade the gpu to a 6700xt that is small and will fit in my pc. Even though fencing in Galileo does not have a bright future, I hope I can be a fencing athlete because it is a sport I invested time and passion in. The road to fencing will be tough in my opinion because I currently do not know how to get into professional fencing other than fencing at school. Personal matters can also be affected by external matters like inequalities, justice and social issues. A pressing issue I still see is bullying. I expect in the future for me to be able to actively discourage it and help people who are facing that issue. Training and practicing socializing skills help but it is only part of the solution. Making a safe space around you for friends and people should be something that I can practice in the future.
Sincerely,
Steven Zhou from 11th grade
