Dear FutureMe,
This year, has been a long one. It’s 2020 and the year of the pandemic.
You’re working in a bookstore and currently the whole region is under a strict lockdown, you wear masks when you leave the house, you sanitize often and honestly; it’s lonely.
You can’t see your friends, Christmas and New Years are cancelled, what should have been a year of celebration has become a year of just you and Erik.
Don’t get me wrong; you haven’t had a bad year, you’ve just had a year of deeper love, emotionally closer friends and time. So much extra time.
You got married this year, you renovated a house yourself this year — and yes you haven’t been able to share this excitement with anyone else, with your family, but I am so proud of you.
In a year that should have crushed you, you have achieved so much.
I’m so proud of you, I’m so proud of us, I’m so proud of me.
