Dear Kaiya (2025 version of Kaiya),
Maybe you will be engaged, maybe not. Maybe you will be working in a hospital or a clinic, maybe not. Maybe you will have your own place, maybe not. Maybe you will be graduating college from Kent, maybe not. Maybe you are still with Julian, maybe not. Whatever has changed or happened, it has helped you. You may have been lost or scared, but look where you are now. Everything is okay, life may not be going according to plans (or it is) and that is okay.
At the time of writing this, you are 18 years old. Life has changed drastically this year. COVID had a big role in that. Hopefully by the time this gets to you, COVID has vanished and life is back to normal. At this point in your life, you are living with your parents searching for a roommate for college. Jule and you are doing great (3 years). It is almost Christmas time, one of your favorite holidays. You cannot stand the cold, you probably still cannot. This is Max’s first Christmas. He absolutely loves the snow along with being outside. Ivan is 13 and still running around like a crazy man. School is going good, but you were virtual 3 days out of the week. You were hoping to gain some new friends, it is going okay.
I hope you are happy in the state of life you’re in. I hope you made life long friends and are okay with the life changing decisions you have made. I am sure you are almost the exact same. Still loves cares, planning your future, going to the ball field, hanging with your family and friends, being on the lake, and anything sparkly.
Always know what is best for you, not everyone else. Start to put yourself first. Do what you love and what you want to do, not what others think. Continue to smile and laugh.
I hope this brings you joy and happiness and lots of laughs.
Love your crazy, bubbly, loving self,
Kaiya
