A letter from November 21st, 2020

Dear FutureMe, hi! it's 18-year-old lauren :) you should be 23, almost 24 when you get this. dang. you might be in graduate school. how's that going lol. are you still pursuing speech-pathology/music? are you and tayah still living together? please tell me you have a boyfriend or something by now. if not, you and paige should probably just go ahead and move to switzerland and get a bunch of cats. aw speaking of pets, right now I have tigger and copper. they're at home while im at college but ill see them soon. tigger is one of my besties and always has been. he always cuddles with me. right now my best friends are (in no particular order) paige, tayah, maddie, mackenzie, sierra, and cayden. I hope you are still close with them, if you are, how are they? if not, please reach out to them. how's our family? donovan should be like 21? AKJFNJASDFN that's crazy. im about to go home for thanksgiving break in like 3 days. Im not sure if we're having a normal thanksgiving or not, because of covid. I need to see. im almost done with my first semester of college at UCO. OOH WHAT HAS HARRY STYLES BEEN UP TO? right now, he just became the first male to be on the cover of vogue. it's almost the one year anniversary of fine line, and I should be seeing him next year if covid doesn't postpone it again. he's also filming for a movie!! so, has he release any new music, or done anything else iconic? probably. I wonder how the rest of the 1d boys are. I hope they're still thriving in the future. what tattoos do you have? right now I just have joy on my wrist and a butterfly on my ankle. I really really want to get we'll be alright on my arm though. maybe a nose piercing too. anyway, I hope you are happier now. right now, my depression is really kicking my butt. like - really, really badly. it just keeps getting worse and worse. I hope you've healed and learned to love yourself. if not, that's okay, just keep trying. please. what about the president? joe biden just got elected. did he get elected for another term or is there someone new? just please don't tell me trump got back in office. then you'll definitely need to move to switzerland with paige. some songs I've had on repeat recently are why'd you only call me when you're high by the arctic monkeys, sweater weather by the neighborhood, where do I go by lizzy mcalpine, and basically all of harry and 1d's discography. yes I am 18 and obsessed with harry and 1d, but I never got to experience that as a kid. it might sound stupid, but if I could tell my younger self one thing it would be to listen to 1D and become a stan while they're still together!!! speaking of which, why don't you put on some harry or 1d. it'll make you feel better. it always does. i love you <3
