Dear Savanah in 5 years,
5 years ago I wrote this letter to you, I hope you've kept up with all the yearly letters but now I want you to remember 2020. It's 6 days until the election that decides my future, the world that you currently live in. I wanted to remind you about this year, hoping that whatever we lived through afterwards was easier. As you remember, 2020 was a **** show, and we were a mess, But we pulled through and now look at where you are today. 5 years. October 29th 2025. You're graduating high school next year! You're 17 years old, and I can imagine this is a very stressful time for you. I love you and I hope we have blossomed into a wonderful confident woman, I'm working on myself right now too. I just want you to remember and look at what we went through this cursed year, and I hope to god it got better for you. I want to remind you to do something that for some reason I cannot force myself to do as of now, remember you are deserving of happiness and that doesn't change by how much you accomplished or how much you haven't. Please take a break and let all that stress wash over. You might think the stress is motivating you but in the end it just hampers your progress. I love and I pray you love yourself as well, in the end your self love with pull you through life. You're doing good.
