Dear FutureMe,
Dear Future Me,
Woah! I can't believe you're now 21 years old. That puts you in, uhmm, 2025! So far off, yet when this letter will reach you it'll seem like you sat on your desk and wrote it yesterday!
Back to 2020, been a tough year tbh. I know, you can never forget this time. Right now, I don't know where I'm headed! Sitting at my desk, and wondering where I might be in 5 years! I think about where you are...and I don't even know where that is! Maybe you're an entrepreneur! Maybe you're rich and famous! BTW,
Did all the late nights and early mornings worth it? All the stress and headaches? You must be at your desired college (don't skip classes!!!).
Maybe you're working on the dream, you dreamed years ago! The dream of revolutionizing the world, the world of robots & A.I, the dare to make a name. Don't settle for a 9-5job, your 5 years past self would have never done that. Work on what you started, that's why you're here! You have sacrificed your high school for that purpose, you can't leave now!
You know, people may be floccinaucinihilipilificating, thinking you are wasting the money and time. Saying things like, this would never work out, defenestrate them. Be the crazy one!! Remember "People who are crazy enough to change the world, are the ones who do!"
And have some good friends, the ones who offer fair criticism! And don't be an introvert all your life!! Push your boundaries, take care of your health (if you don't wanna be old too fast!) and work for your dream ( even if it means 120hrs/week)! Take RISKS, no matter what!
And have you found that one person you were searching for? Is she the one? The one who would love you when you haven't achieved anything. If yes, keep her! If no, don't just fall for anyone. And don't forget to love yourself first! Let no one rush you into anything, create your destiny first.
"Let me not die ingloriously and without a struggle, but let me first do something great that shall be told among the men hereafter" - Homer
WannaBe You,
Jay
