A letter from October 21st, 2020

Dear Future Virginia, 2020 was a year of change and uncertainty. We had the Covid 19 virus to contend with and all it's upheaval. I hope my family and friends will survive it and become stronger for it. I put my trust in my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ!!! Personally, I left my job in pursuit of my life long dream and promise to my grandpa Harold to become a veterinarian. I have had a lot of speed bums but have managed to persevere. I WILL ACHIEVE THIS DREAM!!! I find comfort and joy in the "little things" in life this year. I slowed down and smelt the roses so to speak. I spent extra time with my husband, sons, parents, sisters, nieces & nephews, and children from my community. Being with children fills my soul with such immense joy that I could burst! I also reconnected with friends that I wasn't able to see in a long time. It felt good to see my friends again and to be the Jenni of my youth again. :) I am most thankful for the time I spent with my father farming. He is truly an amazing man. I thank God everyday for giving me such a wonderful man to call my dad!!!! And I love all his jokes and quick wit!! :) I hope this letter will inspire you to keep things real and not to take for granted all that life had to offer.
