A letter from September 30th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, First of all, how is mom and dad? Are they alive and well? I hope they are living in their own house or condo and not in tiny apartment by this time. Are mom and dad still stubborn as always? How is my sister? Has she gotten her own job or is she still living with mom and dad? I hope she is coping well with her ADHD and depression by that time. And most importantly how are you? Here in 2020,, I am turning 19 and I just finished my A Level course in Malaysia and now waiting for relief flight to Myanmar since COVID has stopped commercial flights. Do you now have a girlfriend ? Is she attractive ? Have you gotten hotter ? Are you more buff? I surely hope my future self is more attractive lol. Also how is your mental health now? Are you still super private about your life like i am? Are you still afraid to be judged by the others? Do you now have super close group of friends cause I definitely don’t have that kind of close friends I always longed for. I hope you will have overcome your insecurities and social anxieties by that time. Speaking of education, which university did you go to from those I applied? Oxford or NTU or NUS or any other? I think I am pretty mature and wise for my age but have you become more considerate? Has studying there helped you to bloom into more mature version of me? I hope you will be going to parties there since I have never been to a party before LOL. And has your music taste changed? I like the neighborhood, Post Malone and some other main stream pop music now. But I also enjoy rap and pretty much any billboard hits. Lastly, which country are you in now? Have you become more in-sync with your emotion and more emotional? Welp, my letter is now long. I really hope you will be the more mature, considerate and successful me by that time. Also I hope you are more empathetic and emotional cause I definitely don’t like how I can be so selfish and uncaring sometimes. With Regards, 19 Years old me from 2020
