Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I am writing to you just days after the ***** of the notorious RBG. For the past few months your past self lost sight of what her goals were for the future. Convincing yourself that nothing in this world matters because we are all doomed in the end. But the truth is — it does matter. The passing of RBG reminded me of why I chose the path of a career in law in the first place. RBG changed the fabric of our lives, she fundamentally altered the way women are seen under the law. You have the power to make the same type of change. I was certain that my dreams were unrealistic — that nothing I would seek out would truly become a reality. None of that matters though. As long as you are on the path you know you need to be on. The path that leads you to the life you want to live. Look to RBG for inspiration when you need her. Remind yourself why you started in the first place. You will change the world. I am certain of it. I hope by the time you are reading this you have a more clear outlook of what your life will look like. But more than that, I hope its not a life you are being forced into but a life that you choose for yourself that will bring you genuine satisfaction and joy. I hope that path includes saving the world. Love, Past You (19 years old)
