A letter from September 20th, 2020

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, To my future self at 2025, May this letter reach you. On a rainy Sunday afternoon, September 19th, 2020, I have decided to write you this. When you look back to this year (2020), I hope you’ll have that smile on your face. For this year have really tested everything you have in you, but you were able to make it through. When you look back, I want you to be proud. I want you to look at yourself in the mirror and see how beautiful you’ve become, scared yet nourished. I want you to look back and be happy for you’ve followed your heart’s desire. You chose to love. You didn’t let your tongue get bitter though you’ve tasted bitterness in life. To my future self, you’ve grown so much. As I am writing you this, I am envisioning how a typical Sunday would be for you. Sitting by the breakfast nook, with your baby and the man you chose to spend your life with. It will surely come. I am building you to be that best mother and partner anyone could ever ask for. Kind of a work in progress, but if I’m striving harder. I am learning to let go of what doesn’t serve me peace nowadays and loving more what’s suits me best. In time, when you read this, I know you’ll be unbreakable yet loving. You’ll be the best version of yourself. Beautiful from within. Yourself at 2020, Staying strong.
