A letter from September 2nd, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Hey! Its Shaun from 2020, you know, the year with the chaos. Life 5 years into the future.. I wonder how it'll be. Well, I do hope you are alive still. Hope you haven't died from corona or other..things. Currently we are 15 years old, going on 16 in a bit, and we are still in a lockdown due to covid. It's been tough, youve been going though alot, but this is around the time you made all of your ss friends. Like ro, and remy, and spikey boi, roman, vari, jay, dee, etc etc. This is when you were having all of those ss zoom calls and staying up till ungodly hours of the night talking, its literally 4:30am as i write this, so please tell me you've worked on your sleep schedule. And you were posting closet cosplays, alot of them. Actually, today you lost motivation to cosplay a bit and had a little breakdown, but you got through it. You were on a call and they made you feel better. Did you graduate from school? How'd that go? Did you do well? Probably not, i'm already prepared to fail. lots of 3's and 4's on that report card right? I bet your parents were disappointed. Have you come out yet? If you did, howd it go? I bet it didn't go good, orrrr you haven't got the balls to yet. Are you still friends with everyone i just mentioned? Again, probably not. I hope you are though, And i hope you get to meet them if you are still friends with them. But i know friendship doesn't last like that. Are you still friends with nee and lena them? From school? I hope you are or i'll beat you. How has your mental health been? Were we right about the concerns? Or were we overreacting? probably overreacting. rip. Do you have a job? or are you going to college? or both? Idk about college, i dont think we are smart enough for that. Have you gotten a credit card or anything of that sort? cause you know you wanna buy all the online things. How about partners? Do you still have a girlfriend? Or are you single? or maybe you have more partners now. How is our country going? Any laws to progess the validation of the LGBTQ+ community? I do hope so. Don't forget out goal of helping the lgbt youth in our country. There are no shelters or centres for lgbt peopel here now, and idk if there are any in the future, but i hope you work on it somehow, get help, fulfil that promise you made to me. become something you can be proud on, become something that i can be proud of. Did you get to watch the sunset on the beach with your friends? have you lost anyone? I have so many questions but i stop here. Dont forget hema, remember her, mourn her, talk to her like you do now. You better not forget. Anyways, I love you so much. Happy 20th birthday, hope you are doing well love. Please stay strong.
