A letter from August 28th, 2020

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I’ve already written a letter to you that’s due in a year, but this one will go further into the future. Five years. You’ll be 20 by then. A full grown adult. By the time you see this you may think times gone by quickly. Almost too quickly. Our grandparents may be gone by the time you receive this, I hope you’ll never forget how much they’ve done for you and how much they love you. How much grandma prayed for you every day. How much she loved you and loved seeing you eat and be happy. How much grandpa loved helping out everyone even though they didn’t want his help. How much help he gave to your mom and dad. Don’t forget them. They might be a painful memory to keep close but never forget them. I’m not sure if Coco will still be okay by then, but if she’s not don’t worry, she’s resting peacefully and running around somewhere. I hope you’re not afraid of the future. It’s true time goes fast and no one really knows anything about why were here and where we go in the end, but just enjoy the experience. You may feel old but you’re only 20, you have your whole life ahead of you so don’t worry. I hope you find something to believe in so that it will give you peace. Whether it’d be true or not, it’s better to die peacefully with false hope rather than to die remorsefully. Stop worrying so much, ***** is unavoidable, enjoy everything you have right now. Stop keeping grudges you’ll regret it. I hope by now you know what you’re doing with your life and found a passion to chase after. Remember you need to get dad his nursery. You need mom and dad to retire so they can spend the last 20 years of their life together peacefully doing something that makes them happy everyday. I’m crying as I write this because it hurts knowing they won’t be here with me someday, but at least you can make them happy before they leave. Make a lot of money so mom can travel and finally go to New York and dad can go with her. Let him take pictures and let her explore. Please if you feel like giving up at least keep going for them. You can’t give up got it? I love you I hope you’re happy and doing well.
