Dear FutureMe,
It’s me, you.
Right now I’m eating pancakes after quitting my job yesterday. I know it sounds drastic (we’ve been always quite dramatic), but like every business person, I resigned a month ago and today is then, finally, my first day off.
I’m starting the new job on Tuesday and I’m very nervous. On a context of a global pandemic, who knows how remote onboarding and all of that will go?
Besides, don’t forget your last job crushed your confidence. I hope things are better now for us.
2020 was a difficult year (do I need to remember everything that happened since February?), but I know you and I know your strength. Be kind to you not only in 5 years, but today. And tomorrow.
You are an unique human being and it shows - just ask anyone around you. Don’t forget to tell yourself that daily.
If I had to guess what’s happening in 5 years (I’m from the past, not the future, you dumbass 😂), I’d say you are happy with your house. You have what you would’ve called a family, and definitely a dog. You are still ridiculously clumsy, but you know how to cook to impress a friend. The rest I guess we just figured along the way, and I hope we feel grateful for what we have.
I’ll see you in 5 years, or better saying, you’ll see our future-self in 10 years from me.
I love you,
Luisa.
