Hello future me!
how are you doing? Hopefully, you're in a better situation than me right now. But real quick here's a little rundown of what has recently happened in my life and why I'm not in the best spot. I'm in the middle of a pandemic right now and am currently in some sort of lockdown. The government have started to ease the lockdown so we are now able to live pretty normally, but we at one point we were only allowed to leave our house for essentials and to go on one walk a day. This has kinda sucked as we have missed 6 months of school and as you know I am taking my a-levels next year so I am not in the best position here. But what did I end up getting for my a-levels? Was I pleased with my results? When did lockdown end? When were we allowed to not wear masks in public spaces?
As you can probably tell, my life hasn't been all that interesting lately as I haven't been able to do much. However, something exciting did happen to me last week, I managed to pass my driving test first time, after waiting 5 months for it to be rescheduled. So I am now a FREE person and can go anywhere I like, with who I like, and when I like. So I guess it hasn't all been doom and gloom! I also got a puppy right at the start of lockdown, Marley, a miniature dachshund. How is he? Is he still a pain in the arse, because I know he can be? Has he calmed down much over the years or is he still as crazy as ever? Did he miss me much while I was away? Did you manage to persuade mum to get him a little friend?
Right, let's talk about college for a little bit! If my predictions are correct then this letter should get to you once you have graduated from college and received your degree. Unless of course, you are still at college working towards getting your degree. Where did you end up graduating, Ottawa university or did you end up transferring? How was Pheonix? Was it hot? Did you make any friends? What did you end up getting a degree in, because I know that you are currently between two different paths? Have you gone down the psychology route or the biology route? Personally, as of right now I would choose the biology route and become a forensic scientist, but did you end up choosing psychology and becoming a forensic psychologist instead? Or maybe you chose neither.
I am not too sure what else I should be telling or asking you. But I guess these kinda questions are relevant for the rest of your life. Abi. Are you still best friends with her? do you see each other often? Is she still with Ethan? Did you ever go on holiday with Abi? Katie and Lucy. Are you still friends with them? Did you stay in contact with them once you had left? Did they ever start inviting you and Abi out to places? Are they still best friends? Is Katie still Lucy's shadow? What has happened to Lucy's relationships, is she still with Denny, has she moved on to different people? What about Katie? Did Katie and Sam ever properly get together? Ben. What's the situation at the minute? Did you stay in contact with him? If so are you still just friends? Did you ever move onto something more than just friends? I mean Abi, Lucy and Katie always said that you would be more than just friends. Did you ever manage to trust him enough? Did you actually love him?
Let's move on to family stuff for the moment. How is everyone? At the minute everyone is healthy. Is that still the same case? Has anyone unfortunately died or become ill? What about the family dynamic? Right now it is good, I mean Niel, Phill and Grandma still don't really talk to each other all that much but it's got a bit better. How often do you see Jake? I mean if you're currently living at home still then I'd assume that it is every day. How is Jake? Is he still a grumpy teenager or has he surprised you and become this sociable friendly teenager? How is he getting on at school/ how did he get on at school? Mum and Dad. How are they holding up? has mum got her house in Bluffton yet? Is she still decorating the house? Is dad still playing golf? Does dad still have his business?
Let me just circle back to my current life for a second. I am currently playing golf at a high level. But do I ever put in more practice and effort into it to make something really good out of it? Like did I ever make it onto the tour? Or am I in the process of going on tour? Did I give it up completely? As you can probably remember, I am writing this at 2:00 in the morning a month or so before I turn 18, so what did I end up getting for my 18th birthday? And do I still have it? Alfie, my sweet old man, did he end up getting any worse or did he live on for another 5 years lol? What are your thoughts on children? Because at the minute I am currently 50/50 on whether I want children or not, I've always hated children and never wanted them but over the past few years I have warmed up to the idea of them. However, I am currently unsure of whether I would like my own children or if I should adopt. I quite like the idea of having my own child and then adopting a child or two. Do you still feel the same way? Or have you already got children? I would like to think that you don't quite have any children yet, but you never know.
I think this concludes this little letter thing but I just have a few more questions for you to answer:
- did you end up selling Flo and buying a new car? If so was it a Corsa or something else?
- What phone do you currently have? An iPhone I hope ;)
- What friends did you stay in contact with?
- What is your favourite song at the minute?
- Are you currently in a relationship?
- If you are in a relationship then who are you with?
- Did I already know them? Or did I meet them after I wrote this letter?
- Who is the president of America?
- The highlight of studying in America?
- Have you quite McDonald's?
- Do you have a new job?
- What was the last film you watched?
- What was the first bottle of alcohol I brought once I turned 18?
- Is your favourite drink still Dr Pepper?
- Was this a good idea? Should I write another one of these?
- Did you get any tattoos?
I hope that you get this letter and can answer a few of these questions for me. I also hope that you are healthy and happy in the future.
I love you,
Jessie : )
