Dear Five Year Older Ishmael,
You’re 33 almost 34.
You wrote this sitting on the velvet blue couch in the loft off of Commerce Street next to your beautiful wife. Today you played at Cottonwood Creek, reorganized the closet, & ran with Eilish in the field.
I don’t know how your life looks now
but I hope that you thank me (your past self) for the decisions I made leading up to August 23rd, 2025. If my decisions has led to great things, please return the favor to Ishmael in 2030 by making prudent decisions for the family.
Here are some quotes I wrote down from this weekend in August 2020:
“What is the price of your promise”
“If you aim at nothing
you will always hit it”
“The highest form of faith is planning”
Where is crisel right now? Find her and give her a “real kiss” for me. Tell her to make love to you because I said so 😈.
Love you from the past!
- Ishmael
