A letter from August 19th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Currently I am writing this on my bed while sitting in my room at Pops house. The walls are pink and your bed is sitting in the center of the room. This year the NBA playoffs are happening in a bubble and the SPURS DID NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR:(. It is currently the start of my senior year and we have to start the year with online school on Zoom and Google classroom. It is kind of depressing starting school like this because it was just supposed to be “spring break,” but it turned out to be a 6 month long summer. I don’t fear this but I know it is going to happen soon. The world is going to come to an end and the rapture is going to happen VERY soon. I wouldn’t be surprised if I never get this letter back to myself due to the world ending. This pandemic has been wild because the world hasn’t ever experienced anything like this before, so people are going crazy. Yes, currently we are in stock of toilet paper and water, but a few months ago people decided to take everything from the stores and wipe them clean just in case we had to hard core quarantine in our houses. Something nice someone has done for me recently is on Sunday the sixteenth of August of 2020 Paulina, Jose, Alana, Eddie, and I went to Top Golf and Eddie paid for me along with driving us all there. If you don’t know who those people are when you read this then you should be sad because those are some of the most important people/friends in your life as of now. Paulina Guevara is my bestie along with Alana Wimberley. Eduardo (Eddie) is your boyfriend, but not your boyfriend at the same time. He still hasn’t asked you out yet, but yall have basically been dating since your birthday of last year. Hopefully y’all will still be together when you read this because he always has treated you well & because the family actually likes him. My current outlook on the near and distant future? Well I’m not quite sure if a future will be here. I mean I hope we live to be at least 70 and see where this pandemic goes and how life will be. Also I’ll probably have the same 2-3 friends Cynthia Alvizo, Paulina Guevara, and Alana Wimberley. Imagine reading this in the future and them being in your life still. How cool would that be? My realistic goal is that by age 21 I’ll be in college about to finish and hopefully be going to the Air Force to be an Architect for them. Hopefully I still get to continue my life with Eddie but if not then I’m completely fine with that. I just hope we still stay connected in the future. Maybe if y’all have lost contact and there is some way that his number is still the same.. you should call him and just see how he is doing, did he ever make it to the Air Force? I hope when you read this that you are more than satisfied where you are in life and if not then go to church get even more connected with God then what you already are. “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God .” MARK10:27. If you haven’t achieved your goal to be an Architect in the Air Force then what are you doing? Go achieve that goal and don’t stop until you get there.
