A letter from August 5th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, I hope you finally reached all your dreams. I’ve seen you in your worst and was always there for you. Honestly, I am quite nervous what would you become in the future. It seems like the present me isn’t ready to face the cruel world yet. I even thought of harming myself everytime my dark days come and yet I’m still here hoping that maybe discovering what the future holds isn’t a bad idea after all. I still have plans, for my family, for myself. And everytime I feel a bit low, I think of those things and what could possibly happen if I ever just gave up.Would it really make everything better? Or regret the only chance I have to find such genuine happiness after all the things I’ve been through. You know what? You are sucha strong woman being able to control your emotions and I am hoping that you stay that way in the future. You might not be as confident as the rest in the present but I know that you will be the est version of yourself in the future. Its not a race. Enjoy the moment. Learn from your failures and struggles. I am your 18 year old self sending you this letter to let you know that not everything is going to be on your side, you ask your self questions that you don’t even know the answers. You cry at night without anybody knowing yet you face them with such happines in the morning. Your 18 year old self is struggling now but is still aiming for the best. I know you can do it and I know you will. You will graduate college. You will find a decent and good paying job. You willbuy your family a house and a car. You will spoil your family and yourself. You will travel the paces you’ve been longing to go to. You will find someone that will loveyou will accept you. You will be successful after years and years of struggles and failures. I know you can do it future me. I am claiming it now. Your 18 year old self is claiming your every dreams and goals in life to become a reality. I know this moment while you are writing this you have doubts in your mind but please trust the process and don’t ever give up. Everything will will be okay.YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL.
