Dear FutureMe,
Happy birthday. I know these past few years had taken a toll on your mind and soul. Are you still doing okay? Do you still write in your diary/journal? Do you still write poems and stories? Have you found the perfect reason for your existence?
I hope that you didn't end up in some bad situation, but if you did, just remember, "If you are going through hell, just keep going". 🙂
By the way, next month, NASA will have a mars mission, and guess what? Your name is on the list of the names that they will bring to the Red Planet. How good does that sound?
I am the past you, and I had written this letter on August 1, 2020, while the global pandemic of Covid-19 is still going.
I won't keep this letter for too long, please be stronger than who I am now. The society is still as harsh as it is, whatever time you are in. Just enjoy everything life has to offer, okay? Whether it's a blessing or whatsoever. Just keep building a mental fort. Allow only the most trustworthy people in. It's harsh, but that's what works best in my time. I don't know what does the future holds for you, but all I can say is that the society will always throw rocks at things that shine. This will be the last, I promise: the best way to know if a person is trustworthy is by trusting them and observing how they think and how they act.
Keep going, okay? No matter how painful tomorrow could be. A fragrant flower needs to be squeezed and boiled before you can derive the purest extract. I love you, my future self.
