A letter from July 30th, 2020

Dear Future Me, Hey Karisma, I really hope you are doing well. Right now you are 150 lbs and 5'6. Your height probably didn't change, but hopefully by the time you read this again your weight won't matter to you like it does now. If I'm wrong and it does still matter just go eat something ok? For me? Or I guess for you. Are you still dating Lurick? I hope so but if not thats ok too. Don't worry about that too much either. How are you? How was the wedding? What color was your dress? Do you have a job? Have you gotten better at skating or playing guitar? Is the pandemic over? Sorry for all the questions, but I just want to know what life is like for future me. I hope you are happy. Where are you living? Where did you decide to go to college? Are you in Washington? What is your major? Are you still trying to become a social worker? What is your favorite poetry piece? Hey, how long did you where my favorite black converse? And are you and Faith still friends. Future Karisma if you haven't talked to Faith in the past week you better call her or snap her. Do you still use Snapchat? What's your snapscore? Right now its 1,444,327, which is some real ***** **** but it is what it is. I really hope you can make pancakes. And that you can bake more than cookies and salty cupcakes. Do you still like plants? Especially like succulents and cactuses? Is that how you spell that? Did you ever learn how to spell? Let's be honest, you probably didn't. Is TikTok still a thing? Like is it popular? Did you ever get to go to regular school again? Without plexi-glass between your desks. Did you get to go to All-State Choir? Do you still sing? What about band? What does your handwriting look like? Do you know if you want kids or not? Are Kade and Justyna married? (I hope so, but I don't wanna jinx anything so I won't predict they are.) Has Kade finished flight school? What was the last concert you went to? Here is a real question. Do you still like to party? Or did getting old make you lame? If getting old made you lame I need you to go to a party. Like right now. I'm serious. Do you still get high? I predict that weed was not a phase. Cause weed is good. Go get high. Today, past you has a bottle of wine in the backseat of her car. Don't let yourself peak at 16. That would be sad, ok? Do some shots with your friends. Speaking of friends, other than Faith, did you keep in touch with Torry after he transferred schools? Do you still like the stars? Do you still like watching the sunset? I hope you haven't forgotten how much you used to like those things. I hope you still love falling in love. Have you read We Are the Ants recently? If you haven't go do it. I really hope you are happy. And I really hope you are becoming the beautiful successful woman that everyone knows you can be. Maybe you already are that woman. If you aren't that's ok too. Just don't forget that when you were 16 you had huge ******* plans. But we all know that right now your 16 year old brain isn't fully developed so this could all be nonsense. Sorry if I do anything stupid that you are still paying for.
