A letter from July 23rd, 2020

Dear 22-year-old Risa, Happy birthday, my future self!!! I wrote this to you because.. well, if you remember, we're in quarantine right now. It's a hard time for all of us. So many people are dying, some are unemployed, and some don't have enough funds to continue their schooling for this year because their parents have no income. It's hard on people physically and mentally. But enough about me! By the time you see this, the virus is probably gone. Well, at least I hope so. :P LOL! So, how is life? How are mommy and daddy? How is lola doing? How are YOU doing? I wrote this at this time especially because I think by now, you're finished with school. What a relief, right? :p WRONG! You're gonna be plunged into the real world now, whether you like it or not. A real job, paying for your expenses.. stuff like that. But I know you'll handle it amazingly because you're tough :) You know, unlike other people my age, I never wanted to grow up quicker. I'm 16 right now, and I've been feeling a TONNN of pressure because it's at this point where I gotta decide what I want to do for the rest of my life. And I'm not an ambitious kid. Well... I don't know. But I've never had a "dream college" whatever that is, and I DONT FREAKING KNOW WHAT I WANNA BE YET! life is waayyyyy too fast. But yeah, I'm doing ok besides that. Online classes are coming soon and I'm dreading it but oh well I gotta deal with it one way or another. Wow.. I RAMBLE. Anyways, just wanted to tell you a few words. I don't know where you are right now, what you're doing, or who you're with.. but one thing's for sure. I hope you're happy. I hope you've finally figured out what you wanna be. I hope you don't let life bring you down because life can be a real B sometimes. But you're strong. Surround yourself with the most beautiful people. Your parents are one of them. Give them a kiss and a hug for me. NEVER give up, you're stronger than you think. And you're 22 you got ur whole life ahead of you!! Make it one to remember. You're a great person, never doubt yourself!! You may be feeling overwhelmed right now because you've just finished school and are now entering a new environment, but you'll ace it. Even if you don't at first, don't be too hard on yourself. Take it one day at a time. Most of all, no matter how fast life is getting, don't forget to make memories. Go on that trip with mommy and daddy, take a extra five minute break to look at that beautiful sunset forming colors in the sky, look at the mirror and see how BADASS you are, and DYE. YOUR. HAIR!! honestly if you don't have pink hair right now i'll be disappointed. KIDDING!!!! Well, this is getting too long. I better let you get to it.
