A letter from June 30th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Do you still hate birthdays? Ah, let me set the scene- I just celebrated my COVID-19th surrounded by friends and family and overall made the best of the situation. Birthdays clearly aren't your thing but you raised $500 for the Black Youth Project. Its been almost 3 months since the breakup and I think you're doing pretty good at handling it. I thought I wouldn't bring it up but its been so prominent in defining what I want 25-year-old Humna to look like? I hope you read those 20 books before you turned 20 because god knows you need wisdom. The thought of being in another relationship is so weird so 18-year-old Humna decided to figure out herself, what she wants, and doesn't want and hope love will find a way. I hope you never settle for anything and keep challenging yourself. Mom and Dad don't know it yet but you're gonna make a name for yourself. At 25 if you aren't married (HAH) I really ******* hope you and Chloe moved to New York or anywhere really to live a great life. We both know she deserves it and traveling the world is where she'll find love. Gosh, love that girl. But ****, if she gets married first she owes ya $20 and a husband. This all over the place but it's fitting because 19-year-old Humna is all over the place. We are in the middle of a global pandemic where I was supposed to be in Singapore. But after all, plans change and we learn to adjust. But please don't alter your goals. Get that high earning job that you are passionate about, try new things, be scared, be reckless, and be acceptable to change. You still got a **** ton of life to live, don't waste it on planning for the future. 25-year-old Humna better be in love with life and herself otherwise I call a redo! With Love, 19 Year old Humna
