A letter from June 18th, 2020

Time Travelled — about 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Isn't it cool if you'll get this message from your past self? How's life now? Are you happier? Are you still feeling anxious? Do you now feel more confident about yourself? I just want to tell you that I am working my best now to be your best self. I am fighting all the demons inside me every time I want to lose hope and quit. Funny right? You used to have big dreams. Maybe I still do have one but I don't know. Life is getting more complicated these days. Before I started writing this sentimental letter to you, I sent a number of job applications to different government agencies and private companies online even though I am in the middle of a pandemic. Tha's how strong you are too. That's how unbelievable crazy you are. You refuse to give up. You have plans. It's just that lately things are not going your way. For the record, it's June 19, 2020, at 12:12 AM here while I am typing. This quarantine is both helping you in a way that you are learning a lot more and discovering new skills. At the same time, deteriorating you're mental because of too much pressure and self-inflicting thoughts. I just want to remind you how low you've been feeling lately; no job security, toxic self, winding brain, unsure future. But I have full trust of you and me. We can do it, right? That way when you read this, you will appreciate your old self. You will be proud of me that I am fighting my way. Hang in there! This is just the start. Tell me more about my current me and how'd you get there when you read this here, okay? Let's do this! Love, Your Present Me - 5275 PS: When I was about to finish typing, the song currently playing is "If I Believe You by The 1975". And it says, "If I'm lost, then how can I find myself?". I have faith in you. You'll find you soon.
