A letter from June 14th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Happy 25th birthday to you! When you were writing this, you were only 19 years old. I hope you still know the way to every club ;). Let me just say that I really hope that you are doing okay. It is allowed to cry whilst you are reading this. The last couple of years have been really tough. You are writing this on June, 14th. This is exactly one month and 10 days after your granddad passed away. I hope that you can still cherish the rest of your family. I know it was hard the first time letting go, and I really hope you've got many more years with the remaining grandparents. Furthermore, you are a second years student during the corona pandemic. I am currently fully involved in the pandemic, but I really hoop that nothing like that will happen again. We, after all, function best whilst helping others. Let me just say some things which I hope that we achieved in the last years. I really hope that by the age of 25 I finally know what I want to do with my life. Or that we at least know something. I hope you graduated within the 4 years, you really deserve it. You fought for it you know. Think back to the time where you had to go to college, follow all those classes, but also had to work and maintaining all those connections we had. some people are too precious to let go, and I hope you found out who they are. By age 25 it's okay to be single. I am focussed on finding a relationship right now, but I have time has learned not to do so. You are an amazing human and that is what counts. To be honest, I don't even know what I want to say to further me. I already said somethings above, but who am I. And who am I going to be. Let's find out together. Just promise me one thing, when you receive this letter, open your old photo books, look at little you and remind yourself who you are. By the age of 25, I will probably be more proud of myself. Right now, I am not realising what I am going through and how I am handling it al. This are scary times and so will every year be I guess. Don't find yourself being stuck at some piece of bureaucracy, go live your life while you are still young okay? If you want to do something, no one should be able to hold you back. You have learned so after your mom and you decided to quit talking. How are those things going by the way? It may be hard, but realise there are many people willing to help you. Please appreciate those. I hope that, by the age of 25, you don't have that nasty police record anymore. It sure has taught us to not drink too much whilst going out. I hope you travelled the world, but I also hope you found a job which will help you get rid of that nasty loan of yours. College isn't all about partying. After all that I've written so far, I already forgot where I talked about. let's see if I can remember this on my birthday. You probably have some old laptops, phones, or other devices with you even though you don't use them anymore. Please open them. Go through them and make sure you remember the last couple of years. they made you the beautiful human you are. And please never forget to feel the Disney magic. I love you.
