A letter from June 4th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, I’m currently 12 years old. It’s 2020 the craziest year for me basically the riots and protests are still going on for the black lives we’re still in quarantine do you have surf lessons the 25th the 24th and 29th and you’re very excited about. You’ve gotten very obsessed with the ocean. Grandma is doing fine can’t really see her air podcast at 1.4 million please. I’m currently 12 years old. Love you future self I hope everything’s better than it was in 2020. 2025 the year you graduate. You could go to college at age 17. I hope you got the IV arm and the suture kit you wanted. I hope you still want to be a nurse and foster kids. And I really really hope that you find your biological mom and dad family sibling sister brother. Just don’t forget about the one that took care of you your entire life. What are you do if you look back to 2020 only look at the happy moments not the sad ones with the rising protests in some black people dying quarantine coronavirus but we lost or losing populations I just know that you were loved and that your friends do care about you and about by that time you and Kelsey would’ve become very more friends than you and Emily too and then you guys are going to go off to college just don’t forget that you were friends don’t forget that because once you do he will never talk again and it’s not a thing you want to happen if you have best friends with someone since a certain grade could just leave them to stick with them always. Now by the time we open this it’s going to sound very horrible written because I’m using Siri also because I’m only 12. I’m sending this to you on your birthday I’m sending it to you when you just turned 17. Just I just wanted to say you were very mature for 12-year-old especially one of HD HD and dyslexia. I hope we’re really good at surfing and swimming I hope you get skinny like you always want to I hope that in high school you on the surf team in the competition swim team I hope you’re on the basketball team to I hope in college you get sponsors to go to a college where you can be on their swim and basketball team. I hope the next five years a great better than 2020. I hope you’ll be able to go back to Hawaii or Jamaica again I’m sorry I didn’t get to go to Germany I know we’ve been looking forward to that but you can travel with all of your foster kids too love you
