Peaceful right?

Dear Future Max, Hey man, this is a letter from you, when you were 18, specifically written on May 31, 2020. It was an assignment from Mrs. O'Brien's AP Lit class near the end of the school year still stuck in quarantine from the Coronavirus. And the George Floyd riots are taking over the USA. And, it's 2020, just so much crazy **** happening, Kobe died, the pandemic, Trump was impeached, but not removed from office, there were tons of wildfires in Australia, and even ****** hornets from Japan. And of course, senior year of high school got cut short, and I missed out on prom, a proper graduation, never getting to finish that tennis match against the kid from Novato, and so many other memories that surely would've been made in these last few months of high school with all the boys and all my friends. Obviously, you know, that 2020 has not been a great year. But on the bright side, there has been some good music so far this year, including Lil Uzi Vert dropping Eternal Atake after 3 years of doing nothing. And more importantly, It helped me realize one of the biggest problems I had and trying to start fixing It myself (hopefully you remember what I'm talking about. I think you will). And you got to connect with friends in different ways, especially being able to talk to Anna on Houseparty instead of just texting on Snapchat. And also being active and playing basketball in the front yard and playing tennis with Dad and getting lessons from Jerry still. And all the times playing Warzone with Walker, Victor, Pavee, and Johnathan. At least I got to have my 18th birthday with them and still have a party with no restrictions. And that we still got to watch the Super Bowl together, even tho the Niners lost, and got to watch the Wilder v Fury 2 fight, even tho wilder lost. Hopefully they both win the next time they get opportunities (of course I don't know when exactly that will be right now). But, seriously man I hope you've kept in touch with the boys from high school, because high school didn't end how It should've, and hopefully you went back and visited at some point. I think you'll have done that at this point. And since by the time you get this letter you will likely have graduated college at this point (unless something went wrong lol). And not gonna lie, I'm still nervous about college at this point and what's It gonna be like, and if I'll make good friends there, and how difficult It will be, and how much success I'll have. But then i remember every other time I've felt this feeling, It has worked out fine, so I think It will be the same here. And I'm confident enough in you, my future self, that It will have worked out, and that Ohio State was at the very least at satisfactory experience, and that you will be able to get a job in some capacity with a pro sports team like I'm hoping for right now going into my freshman year. And I still haven't met Jinseong or Zach yet, but they both seemed like super cool guys and I hope they became great friends throughout college. And even If It doesn't work out that way, I think you'll have found great friends wherever you are in life. And what I really hope happens is that you've told Anna that you like her, at least that. Because at this point I'm still afraid of doing It and ruining the great friendship that we have with each other, and that It won't be the same if i tell her that. But I know that It's gonna have to happen at some point. And no matter what happens with that, whether it's best case and she likes you back and you guys are in a great relationship, or she doesn't feel the same, and you guys become distant, or if its end up somewhere in the middle, like you guys are still just friends, hopefully you've done It, or do It soon if you still can, because It's just a part of life, you like a girl, you tell her, and you can't control what happens after that, but you just have to do It, because you'll regret not doing It when it's too late. This sounds pretty corny but it's true. So I really hope you did It by now. Because I know right now I think she doesn't like me in that way, and It's always hard to try and hint at love when she lives in Europe and you live in the USA. But hopefully, she went to college in the USA, and you guys were able to see each other, and you had the chance to tell her face to face, and that you built up the courage that I don't have right now to tell her how you feel. So now, I'm just gonna list out my (definitely hopeful, but somewhat realistic) predictions for what will happen with you and the world in the future. 1. You will tell Anna that you like her, and you guys get into a relationship. 2. You will have at least a fun time in college, and actually enjoy what you studied. 3. You will land a job at some level with a pro sports team, league, or other big sporting company. 4. This is a more current one, but Deontay Wilder will beat Tyson Fury in their trilogy fight via 11th round knockout with, of course, a huge right hand. And he will then proceed to have a fight against Anthony Joshua to become Unified Heavyweight Champion, and he will knock him out via 9th round knockout with the right hand, and retire as the Undisputed, Unified Heavyweight champ of the world. (definitely hopeful, but anything can happen0. 5. The Niners will win the Super Bowl in 2021 against the Ravens with a score of 30-27, (really just hoping the Niners win the super bowl.) 6. Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar, and Playboi Carti will release an album in 2021. 7. The Buckeyes will win a national championship within your first 2 years at Ohio State. 8. The Warriors will have won 2 more championships by this time this letter is sent to you. 9. The Browns will at least make a super bowl appearance by the time this letter is sent to you. 10. A coronavirus vaccine will have been found by the time the letter is sent to you. 11. Joe Biden will win the 2020 presidential election, but die in office 1 year in, and his vice president will serve the rest of his term. 12. Andrew Yang will win the 2024 presidential election. I can't think of anything else that i want to add to this letter so I'll end It here. I hope you're doing well in life, no matter how accurate any of what just said ends up being. Sincerely, 18-year old Max.
