A letter from May 19th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Tomorrow (October 18th, 2026) you turn 10,000 days old. Pretty cool if you think about it. Congratulations if you haven't died along the way, you did write this during quarantine, on the 19th of May, 2020, more than six years away from the date in question. I wonder if this will even be working? Honestly I don't even know what to say, it's gonna be a while, I have no idea what can happen in six years. Did we graduate? We better have otherwise you're gonna be in big trouble. Are we better at playing the guitar? Do we still play that? Hopefully we are really good by now. Also, do you still write on that blog of yours? The one with only one reader? Who happens to be one your only ex-girlfriend. I wonder if we go back to talking to her. And talking about that are you dating anyone? Maybe you might be getting close to being married. They better be nice, we learnt that from our first and only relationship. Have you decided where you want to live? I, the person writing this letter, have not. Brazil or the USA, hard decision. I hope that wherever you choose it's nice. Maybe it's some other country. Most importantly I hope you still talk to our best friends of today, Thomas, Tarso, Artur, Lucca, Gustavo, Andre. You have to still be talking to them. I'll be sad if you aren't. Did we travel a lot? Road-trips and such? I love driving and hopefully that remains a interest of ours in the future. Remember when you got into that accident two months after getting your license because you wanted to drive all the way from Maryland to California? On Route 66 no less. Good times. You better have a nice job that isn't too boring. If it pays well that's a bonus, just don't get a really boring job because I don't think I can take it. Do you still play DotA 2? What about video games in general? What are your favorites? Do we have the latest Nintendo console? Man there is so much I'm wondering about now. No point in wondering, we just gotta get there first. Don't die, don't be a dumb *** nerd and DON'T DIE, I wanna see how it looks like when we are 10,000 days old. Which is tomorrow by the way, don't forget. Go do something fun, like drink a beer with someone or eat out or go for a hike. Something fun.
