A letter from May 11th, 2020

Hi older kiara, this is the 21 year old kiara in brisbane australia, IN A PANDEMIC!!! Right well first of all, happiest birthday to you! How are you? I hope you're treating yourself good on your birthday? Are you married or did you choose to stick to a career? What have you done with your life? Cause incase you forgot, in your 20s you got even more confused on what to do with your life. But hey, I picked up the Wacom again and been liking drawing, been slowly progressing in making music too! If you do get a good stable job in some office or something just know that that is amazing! I couldn't even get the courage to apply to some ice cream shop job in Brisbane. hehehe. I'm pretty sure you're doing amazing! And absolutely better than how I am doing right now. This pandemic hasn;t been helping my mental health and my academic progress, but if you find this letter in good health and able to take a walk outside that is not considered illegal anymore, you're doing good. if anything you're doing better, okay? Enjoy 27! wow! that is... such an old age. i didn't even think i'd reach 21... Have you called 8023? Your roommates helped you a lot you know. just recently you were broke because you bought them momo fried chicken for your birthday (belated) and also a new phone and they knew you were broke and then tarra and safira bought you groceries! arent they just the best??? one time when you were doing an assignment (I think it was parenting assignment? wow even I forgot and it hasn't even been a month HAHA) and salma saw you being stressed so she bought you McDonalds. and dont forget how jihan Hanna and nesta has been there for you mentally and emotionally. Wow remember when you had that drunk fight with dhana and they were all 100% there for you when you cried. Keep them please. Give them a call if they're not going to be with you today. Tho i'd hate the thought of not spending my birthday with these lovely people. I know we're so hard on ourselves on everything that we do. But goodness you've reached 27! I'd say you did pretty okay! Whatever it is that you end up doing, I'm proud of you and I believe in you okay. Please, be a teeny weeny tiny bit more kind to yourself, as I am trying that too. If you're still with dhana, remember how he has dealt with all your emotional immature pms **** and is STILL STICKING WITH YOU! crazy. you're crazy in love with him remember that. yes he has his flaws and so do you. be patient with him he only means well and never meant any harm. you got this guys!! I'm rooting for you guys ok!!! anyways, this letter has become too long and we both know how chatty we can get so I'll just end it here. Oh one more thing. Thank you for staying alive.
