A letter from May 2nd, 2020

(this is the second time i'm sending this to be safe) Dear FutureMe, It's 11:01pm on the night of May 1st, 2020. I'm listening to Long Slow Distance by NCT 127 and I'm facetiming Kat! We decided to write these letters together after I watched that one Going Seventeen episode where they opened letter from their past selves. Are you still in contact with her? She means a lot to me now, I hope you never forget that! Here's her email ( katherinewanggg@gmail.com ) , she should be emailing you today too considering you set the same dates. Do you still have her phone number? Give her a call or a text!!! A facetime even if people still use that. Let me remind you a little of where I am now. Past you has just finished bawling their eyes out after the president of Interact ripped all officer roles away from you and stripped you from the community you love so much! I'm being dramatic, but it really does hurt. Matthew didn't even try that hard to defend me! Neither did the rest of the board it seems. My wisdom teeth are growing in and its super sore (!) but I'm getting by. Today I nailed my violin lesson and my recital of Gavotte and we've moved onto Boccherini's Minuet. I'm writing this in bed with this blue, red, and white striped shirt I got from yesstyle and on my 2015 macbook air that is ! definitely ! broken and in need of a repair. I'm laying on my snorlax plushie with tennyang and moonbao on my chest (your ten and taeil dolls if you forgot! I'm in my sophomore year btw, I wonder what you remember from sophomore year (considering we spent half of it in quarantine). The COVID-19 pandemic has been ongoing since about late January into February, and I've been on lockdown since the middle of March. Is the world a brighter place now? Are the dumb Americans still fighting for a beach over the public health of the nation? I hope natural selection ****** off all the dumb whites ! So far, we though Kim Jung Un died from his heart surgery, COVID-19 of course, Australia's fire, Trump's impeachment trial, the economy is crashing, Kobe Bryant passed, the list goes on and on and on! As of right now, I'm a super big kpop stan and your twitter @ is tentaell! Do you still have all your slogans and merch? Do you still have all the fanslots you spent hundreds and thousands of dollars on? I hope you still have the fanlights you made for Taeil and I hope you got to see them at least one more time in these 6 years. Do you still run a Group Order account? Did you ever get cancelled on twitter? I hope you still keep in touch with the friends you made through twitter. Do you still talk to Lani, Dani, Inga, Fae, Hailey, Gissy, Marie, Nath... the list goes on. Especially Hailey, I hope you two are still as close as ever and I hope she's doing a lot better, mentally and financially. Is NCT even alive anymore? Did WayV and Taeil finally leave SM? How are your krock and jrock bands? I hope you got to see one ok rock at least one more time. Is SEVENTEEN still saying the name together ???? Never forget how much svt means to you!! Right now life isn't going too good with Tiffany, Jiexin, and Matthew. I mean, it hasn't been for awhile but this quarantine has us distancing even more. I try my best to call them and text them but it takes forever to get responses and they hardly pick up the phone. At this point I am very so so tired of even trying with them. It sucks ! Recently I've been calling Kat everyday and talking to Maricris, Caitlin, Kaitlyn, the AlJayZiVinJu gang, and Alvin from CTY 2019 again! How is CTY btw? I wonder if you got to go back in 2021 for a make-up year for the nevermores, I'm still so upset about that! Do you have new friends? Are there new friends from college? Are you in college? Do you talk to anyone from high school still? I wonder if you're pursuing psychology and Southeast Asian studies. For all I know my interests may change in the next month! Are mom and dad still together? Still keeping in good touch with Justin? I sure hope so!!! He's currently in Sacramento with mom and I miss him a lot ): I hope he still gets water for you and turns off your lights for you when you ask. Remind him that you love him a lot! Same goes for mom and dad. Have you been working out? I hope you're healthy and at a point where you're content with your body. Remember it works for you everyday! Your legs help you walk, your face smiles for you, the list goes on!! I feel really small in life right now, but the fact I know you'll be reading this someday gives me hope. I trust from the bottom of my heart that everything will fall into place. If you're just as worried as me right now, remember all the ups we've had along the way. ONEUS/ONEWE, Ateez... the list goes on. Wherever you are in life right now, please never forget who you are and what you've gone through. Never forget how you succeeded in passing two semester of almost failing half your classes. Never forget all the love and kindness you've put out into the world, and how you deserve to receive just as much if not more back. You have a whole lot of love around you and tons of people rooting for you. I look up to you a lot. I'm sure there are a lot of others who do too. Pursue dance, pursue violin, pursue culinary school, pursue everything you could ever dream of. That's what we've always been best at I'm proud of you!
