Dear FutureMe,
First of all I hope you are able to enjoy your birthday and you are not lockdown at home due to another pandemic. Do you remember how bad it was in 2020 due to the COVID-19? Anyways, Happy 26th birthday. You will probably remember writing this when you were 21. I hope a lot of good things have happened in the last 5 years. Remember that everything that has happened has lead you to this moment. Don’t change a thing because what matters the most is the moment you are living right now and the future. The past is gone. All the successes and failures and heartwarming and heartbreaking moments were all worth it. No regrets.
In this time, you are in your senior year in college living in New York with your roomie Barbie and your brother Lee. You cannot wait to finish school and start a new life in a new place. You have just gotten you work permit which will allow you to work anywhere you want--this is something really important to you because it is something that will you give you freedom and you have been waiting for. Right now you are quarantining at your house because of the coronavirus pandemic that you cannot wait to end because you are so bored at home and cannot wait to get out and go to new restaurants, new clubs and new places.
I hope when you read this letter you will be happy and hopefully have a nice husband and kids like you always wanted. I truly hope you got everything you ever wanted and believe me it will get better in time. I'm proud of you and just always remember no matter what you can do it if you only believe in yourself that is all that matters.
Love yourself and be kind.
Your past self.
