A letter from April 16th, 2020

Time Travelled — over 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear Future Me, This is 18 year old you and I am writing this on April 19th 2020. Starting March 7th through hopefully May 1st, or earlier, there was a virus called COVID-19 or coronavirus which has been super tough going through. I have a small timeline I want you to know starting from March 7th through March 12th. On March 7th around 9:30pm we got to Dallas, Texas and went straight to the hotel. On March 8th, starting around 10:10 am we had breakfast at the hotel then around 11 o’clock we went to Roberto’s house and talked a bit. When we were all talking about family connections, I realized that he was our uncle and then we went to the airport with him to pickup another one of our uncles named Tio Mon who is a cardinal in the Catholic church. He also came with a nun. Then, we left the airport and went to another house to have lunch and hung out there for a little bit. Then we went back to the hotel to drop off our mom. You and our dad went to a mall that is close to the hotel from 5 o’clock to 6 o’clock and then we went back to the hotel to pick up our mom and went to a catholic church service that started at 7 o’clock. Around 9 o’clock when the service ended we took a family photo with all of the family I met and with my cousins and uncle that live around Greatwood, except for the Tio Mon and the nun. Tio Mon, the nun, our uncle Roberto, our uncle Ro and cousins from Greatwood then went together to have dinner at Cheddars and after we ate we took pictures with all of them. Then we went back to the hotel to sleep. On March 9th around 11:20 am we went to our uncle Roberto’s house to say bye and then around 12:40 pm we had lunch at San Martin which is a salvadorean bakery & restaurant. Then we went to a big lego store at a mall called Grapevine Mills and we got a medium Star Wars Millennium Falcon and a golden lego brick keychain. After that we walked around the whole mall and half way through we met up with our cousins and uncle Ro for a bit walking around. Next, we headed home and when we got home, we ate dinner and watched a little bit of tv and went to sleep. On March 10th & 11th all I did was eat, start building the falcon, play with family, sleep and repeat. On March 12th we went to eat lunch with our sister Gaby at a place called Fat Bao which was super good, and they also have my favorite Asian yogurt drink called “Calpico” it’s a must have drink when you go there. On March 19th one of your favorite bands called “Waterparks” released a very cool dance song called “Dream Boy (MC4D) which helped you a bit to dance through this virus crisis. Then every day from there we were in the routine of “eat, build the falcon while listening to Waterparks new song over and over or Awsten’s podcast which is hilarious but also inappropriate , play with family, repeat.” March 25th through March 27th is when we started online classes. That week was just confusing on what to do and how to do it which was okay for now. On March 29th we and our sister Gaby dyed our hair teal, but we only dyed the front tips of our hair and it was the first time we dyed it which was super fun and we also finished building the falcon around 8:40pm which was also fun to do. From April 3rd through April 18th: On April 3rd at 6:35pm through April 4th around 6 pm we watched part 4 of our favorite Netflix series called “Money Heist” which was the best show to watch for 2 days. On April 5th for lunch / dinner around 5:30pm we had beef skirt that was made by our dad and grandma then had a small social distancing chat with your uncle Ro and your cousins in front of our family house. On April 9th another one of your favorite bands called “Twenty One Pilots” released a song called “Level of Concern” which made you feel like this: Twenty One Pilots released a new song a few days ago called Level Of Concern and after listening to it twice a day everyday it feels like this song should encourage you through all of this COVID-19(Coronavirus) things that are going on and there is this lyric that goes like “just need you to tell me we’re alright, tell me we’re okay” and I want you to know that everything will be alright and okay. We need to be patient and hope that this virus ends soon. Stay alive and safe. Which also helped you a ton to get through this and that day you also made an encouragement playlist while you were walking with our dad which you titled “ My Top 7 Quarantine Songs” which has Dream Boy (MC4D Remix), Level of Concern, a Chainsmokers song called “ Push My Luck (Famba Remix), and 4 Christian songs you love a lot and the walking helped you a lot to. Starting around April 7th we started to walk around the neighborhood with our dad around 5:30pm or 6 o’clock for about an hour and about 3.5 miles each day, except for days we can’t go due to being busy. Starting from April 10th through April 13th was tough for us. On April 10th we had a small break down where we couldn’t deal with this virus anymore and wanted it gone now!!!!! Which didn’t happen. By the way I feel that way right now but have been trying to distract myself with positive and fun things until then if possible which has been kind of hard. Later that day we had so much fun playing Catan with our family and our super close friend Nathan which is like a brother to us. On April 11th through April 13th we felt much better from our issue the other morning with playing FIFA, and other games those days. On April 14th through 18th things started getting worse. First was a lot of work due and learning new things, then having trouble thinking straight, to feelings like I can’t do anything anymore for a whole day, to a slow it’s okay process, and I think it will be the only time but it was the first one I ever had. On the day I’m finishing this I’m rocking out to my dad playing music on the piano and guitar. I’ll also probably play a few games and watch tv. Happy 24th birthday and does “everything slow down by 24” like the Waterparks song ”Dizzy” says? I hope not. Hope you have a wonderful, and super fun day celebrating. Love yourself
