Time Travelling — over 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Your worried about your parents financially, this virus has somewhat derailed your life and your plans, such as having a job to save money for collage knowing that your parents, might not be able to afford for collage, worried for your sister since she won’t get to celebrate her 15, which is a big deal in our culture. And feeling a bit guilty that you didn't enjoy that day that she might never get to have. Worried for your mom’s mental state, and maybe 5 years from now you may have forgotten the sacrifices she has made for you. Such as going out of her comfort zone to work in the fields and wake up at 3 to get ready and work till 5 in the afternoon and still managing to make you meals, while the back of your ankles get bruises and turn purple from her shoes. Make sure your dad’s are okay with both Mario and Alberto. While they both struggle to find ways to support their families in these times and keep a roof over their heads, let them know that you're always gonna be proud of them, and that they have never disappointed you. As for your sister make sure they always have what they need to succeed make sure they don’t see your parents struggle like you did. I hope you're still friends with Miranda, Cassy, and emily. Don't get pregnant because you saw the struggles of 16 and pregnant with no education higher than 9th grade with your mom. And even though you might or might not stay together with roberto keep him close. As for me, well you 22 year old me. Study. Because trust me right now I'm thinking about how to do school on my own time and go to work to support the family. But you must always remember. Work will always be temporary, and it can only take you so far, while education is forever and can take you anywhere. I hope we still become a history teacher preferably 10th grade world civilizations or a labor and delivery nurse. And stay close to home. Since you will be an adult, and will be confused on what to do next, just know that nobody knows you better than you. Don’t push people away and don’t be afraid. You're safe now. I hope you get over the fear that he inflicted on you. Because you're okay. Perla I hope you still have your priorities straight and if you and think about if I will be proud of you, and your actions. I don't know what else to tell you. But remember that you will have a tiny box filled with letters and pictures and songs. So you get to know me better.
