A letter from April 13th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, How's college? It should be your 21st birthday when you get this. Today's date-Monday, April 13, 2020 I hope you are either enjoying your time working at Disney, or applying and I hope our dreams have come true. I hope you have all A's and are getting ready to become a teacher. This year has been a crazy one. You learned what love really means, the lengths to which friendship can be tested (and lost), and the coronavirus. school was canceled for everyone and you were literally living through history textbook stuff! My least favorite subject is math, is that still the same? I hope you have grown out of your insecurities and learned to love yourself and be confident. Remember Jackson? you dated for 10 months July 2019-March 2020. Remember all the good parties you went to for JROTC in 2020, and how Alex Neira kissed you and all that drama started with him and Taevion. Then you and Taevion started dating? What happened with that relationship? What about Aden and Mikaela? do you still talk? What about mom and dad? Did nana susan get to see you graduate and take you to college and Disney college program like we have dreamed of for years? Do you and your sisters still talk? Where do we live? Anyway, I hope you have found the person you’ve spent your whole life looking for. I hope they are kind and treat you how you’ve always deserved. I hope you never take them for granted, and I hope they never put you in a position to do so. I hope you have kept in touch with all the people who have changed you. I hope you have kept them close, through the good and the bad times. I hope you remind them of how important they are to you, and they know how grateful you are for them. I hope you still remember me, the younger version of yourself. I hope you look back on the person I am and are proud of who that was. I hope you carry around the things the past has taught you, but do not let them weigh you down. I hope the best for you. I truly do. I hope the future treats you kindly. And I hope it all works itself out in the end.
