Time Travelled — almost 7 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, This is 14 year-old me, I'm sending this to you seven years into the future. You might not even remember that I wrote this. You found this website while scrolling through the tiktok foryou page, is that even still around? I though this would be a fun idea, I just hope things work out. Have you hit that mid-life crisis yet? I wish I would be able to know how things turn out, you know, going to high school and all. It's hard to believe that I'll be going to college in just 4 years. I am writing this letter a couple days before school starts again, Freshman year, woohoo. I'm really nervous, not gonna lie. I'm worried about my schedule, my friends, possible boyfriends (not sure if I even want that commitment), and how I look. How are things with you and Aiden going? We've probably drifted apart, not having classes and what not but I hope you kept in touch for a while. I'd like to think my acne is getting better, but it's hard to tell for sure. Have you gotten that glo-up yet? I hope I've made new friends and kept my old ones. Today is the start of another soccer season. I know I shouldn't be worried but I am. My friend on the soccer team isn't participating this soccer season and I don't know who I'll hang out with (stupid, I know). I'm also worried about my skill, I've never been the best but I'm decent if you know what I mean. I really hope that I won't feel pressured to try out for the school soccer team. I'd like to think I'd be more popular if I made the team, but I don't want to risk not passing the tryouts. On that note, I wonder if you've tried any new sports or activities. On a positive note, I'm super excited about driving. Sure, it will be chore learning all the road signs and what not but at least I'll be able to go to places by myself, not that I really want to. I wonder if I've moved out yet. It's hard to imagine that I'll be living by myself, possibly in another state. I hope you chose a career choice that you'll enjoy, but also one that pays good. I'm nervous about my first job though, I don't want to have to spend my summer free time working, but I know I'll have to. I don't know if you even have your pets still, but I hope they're doing ok. Have you though more about getting a bird? A small one to start out probably. If you've forgotten all about it, I've saved some videos about cockatiels on YouTube if you're still interested. (I bet you think you're cringy for even wanting one.) It's hard thinking about things to write. I bet you're looking back at all of this and thinking of how different you were back then. I bet you curse a lot more that I do now. Do you think that it's stupid to want a gaming system? You should totally get a tattoo if you haven't already. I love you, no matter what decisions you make, I will always love you. Do me a favor and watch this, it might help you relax: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-_O7nl0Ii0
