A letter from March 24th, 2019

dear future me, today is your 30th birthday. WOULD YOU BELIEVE THAT?! you are now 30. in 2019, you were 23, and you have always felt like your mental age got stuck at 18 (maybe even 15). i wonder if that's still true today? let me remind you of the year 2019. the jonas brothers got back together just recently. justin bieber is married and is releasing an album this year. so i guess that's cool. you've been in GSIS for 2 years and 4 months now. not really happy with what you're doing but earning more than you deserve (thanks to tatay willy). you've been feeling really empty lately. broken for some reason. you're living with your sister in sapphire, been away from home for a year now. you've been really concerned with your mom since she still hasn't found the willingness to find a job after quitting. you miss your little brother so much since you haven't seen him lately. you just had a big fight with migs and wrote a letter for him to read in 2024. i wonder if he ever got that letter? you've been going to the gym and dieting (this is shocking because we both know how bad your eating habits are). you ate boiled eggs for lunch FFS..... i'm proud of you. you're waiting for your dlsu graduate admission exam results even though you're 80% sure you failed it. you watched 2 movies with migs today--40-year-old virgin (2005) and x-men (2000). it was a great day before you started a fight again. have you sorted out your issues yet? i hope you have. now that you're up to date, how are you? are you still with miguel? are you married? kids? do you still see your high school best friends? how's your brother? he'll be 16 by now. do you still talk to him? does he still talk to you now that he's a teenager? how's your dad? i hope all the smoking hasn't taken its toll on him. are you still close to your sister? ate would've been a doctor by now. where are you working? are you happy with what you've been doing? are you happy?
