A letter from September 4th, 2018

Dear FutureMe, Emily Wagner Mrs. Kronk-Love Personal Finance- Period 1 Future Life I would hope that in 10 years, my life will be completely different than it is now. Needs, wants, and plans change with time but I hope my future life would generally consist of life in a big city, with a good job that allows me to travel often. Ideally I would like to rent an apartment in New York City, preferably around the Manhattan area. I would prefer to live with either a roommate or a significant other in a two bedroom. I would also like to live in an apartment in Paris, again either with a roommate or a significant other in a two bedroom. At this point in my life I would prefer to have no children, but if in 10 years I do have a significant other and decided I would like to have children, it would probably occur in the near future (before 30). I would like to travel a lot, either on my own time or for my job. Within the next 10 years I plan to travel a lot so I would travel to the remaining places I haven’t been. Top of my list is Portugal, New Zealand, Kenya, Tokyo, and Cuba. I hope that travel is a large part of my life in the future, as it is very important to me now. A job that included extensive travel would something I would enjoy very much, but if it didn’t I would hope to have a job that allowed me a flexible schedule and good pay to be able to travel often. My ideal job would likely be something that works with either fashion, art, or both. A job at a museum or in an archive would probably be something I would enjoy. Working in fashion archives for either a design houses in Paris or working hands art with art in a museum (preservation) setting would be ideal. I would also be content working in related fields such as fashion journalism, gallery management/art sales, or even as a seamstress at a fashion house. My ideal job allows me to be both creative as well as precise and intellectual. Ideally I would not own a car because I would prefer to use public transit in a city. If I had to have a vehicle I would either choose a motorcycle or a Tesla model S.
