TO MY FUTURE SELF

Jul 29, 2017 Jul 29, 2024

Peaceful right?

Dear Future Gabriel, Greetings. This is you, from 2017. One day before Arch's birthday. Remember her? Teenager, turned 18 last year. Met her online and then at San Antonio for the San Japan con. Her hair was pretty. You met DJ too. He was really cute and had the most adorable voice cracks. Not that he'd ever know you think that, though. Today he'd be around 23. You'd have most likely forgotten them by now. I actually hope you have. Even if you didn't, here's a pointless reminder, because they were apart of a small group of people that changed your life forever. They shouldn't be forgotten. They don't deserve that. You left them and the others a few weeks ago. You figured that HEY, I don't really know them anyway. They won't miss me. And they probably don't. I miss them a lot, though. So much. I miss them so much, Gabe. So here's to Arch (Katherine was her name. Kat for short), happy early birthday to her. Here's to DJ (Josh!) and Naga (Tara). Thae (Lauren), Kiri (Aimee), Swap (Hannah), Bev, and Kaiby. I think I might have loved them. I really do miss them. So here's some advice, Future Gabe. Don't push people away. Open up a little. Maybe not a whole lot, because privacy right? Just enough and at the appropriate times. Maybe you'll get to keep some friends. In the case you don't get this message and someone else is reading this... I don't know who you are or what you're doing. But I'm Gabriel, age 14, and don't make the same mistake I did. Best Regards, Gabriel "Wings" Gonzalez P.S: I hope you're hot. I'm still working on getting rid of the scars! and if you're dating, break up with them if you know they aren't cool. i don't want to be ashamed of myself by myself from the past in the future. its complicated, y'know?
