Dear 21 year old Brendan,
Hi there! Remember sending this letter to yourself? I do, since I'm 13 years old, or should I say that we are 13 years old? As I write this letter, I'm in study skills class with Mr. Keating and Mrs. Campbell. Can you please tell me that I get out of study skills in the future? Ooh, are there drones that can support people's weight? How is the war against Isis? I hope there's no third World War. If there is one, DON'T DO THE ROTC PROGRAM AT WHICHEVER COLLEGE YOU ARE AT!!! I don't want you to die! Or, in better words, I don't want us to die! Anyway, if there is no war, remember that the ROTC program is a good way to not pay for college.
What college are you at? I hope you are in Holy Cross or MIT. Those are my favorites. Even if you don't get into those, I'm still proud of you for trying (and still being alive). By the way, how's Daddy? Do you still call him that? Speaking of him, I'm listening to Dvorak's Violin Romance op.11. Beautiful piece, don't you think? I just finished listening to Benny Goodman's Sing Sing Sing (with a swing).
Speaking of music, how are the oboe and piano coming lately?
Whatever happens, just don't quit either of them. I want you to become a concert musician. The day that you wrote this letter is two days after the orchestra concert that you premiered the Lilac Ballad, your first official composition. That concert was the last one that Mrs. Casale was at. A few days before, we went to Great East, the music festival (Mumma kept getting confused and calling it "The Big E"). Afterwards, you brought a giant pixie stick into the bus and got a massive sugar high. Remember when you went on that massive swing ride at Six Flags? It was great, right?
In just a week and a half, school will end and your seventh grade year will end. You know what that means, right? Camp Twitch and Shout is right around the corner! How fun camp is, am I right?! By the way, now that you are no longer allowed to be a camper, are you now a counselor? I hope we are, because that place is fun! As kazoo kid says, "FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!"
My study skills class is over, expect to receive letters in the future!
Full of my undying and beautiful love (especially because of my hair right now, a side part.)
Brendan Paul Robinson
