Time Travelled — almost 10 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe,   In ten years, I visualize a few different things. One big one is that I will be freed from student loan debt. Granted that I continue nonprofit work for the next decade, I will have all of my federal loans forgiven. There's going to be a huge party in the house that we own. There will be cognac.   Not only will I be debt-free in terms of student loans, I will also have 100k of assets built for retirement. There is going to be a solitary fund dedicated solely to traveling to Japan. This fund will be separate from the IRA, as I'm planning to fulfill this dream around age 50.   On my bookshelf will be a work that I created, and am in the process of writing right now. It won't be a big success in the financial sense, but will be a huge personal achievement for me.   Not only will I be a father, but hopefully also be a mentor to a youth that needs it.   Finally, my wife will be the most beautiful she's ever been. Like a fine wine, she will ripen into a stunner. Others are going to say, "Oh ****, you got a dime, son."

Really hope you achieved all that stuff!
