Dear FutureMe,
I am writing this because I know you're going to be scared of all the work at uni. But it is okay. Remember this plan; every lecture, every tutorial, prepare, library, treat it as a job. Pro bono is your new boyfriend for the next 2 years. Your degree comes first and when you have those louboutins it will be all kinds of worth it.
Men will come and go, but you will always be strong enough to deal with it. That being said, remember your degree, remember those shoes and remember that working hard will always mean you will succeed. Stay organised. Don't slip up. Your degree is paramount to everything. Have sundays off always.
You are smart, beautiful and talented. Law is a natural talent for you. So use it and don't abuse it, keep working hard! Spend 2 hours a day in the library reading journals and books. Keep abreast of legal developments. Start module on writing skills now! You're sure to succeed, if only you try.
You need to attend every lecture. Make detailed notes and read the books the night before, making notes. Don't slip behind! Afterwards, go to the library and read the selected journals! Make notes! Make case notes the night before!
This is all worthwhile. Remember, you can do a job you LOVE, if you just work hard now. And you CAN do it. Believe in yourself, and you will go so far.
You're not Icarus, baby.
