Time Travelled — almost 10 years

A letter to myself from June 15th, 2014

Jun 15, 2014 Jun 15, 2024

Peaceful right?

Dear Future Jake, Hello!! It's me! no you... I don't know how this works. You probably forgot you sent this so I'll remind you, (hoping i have internet access in the future and haven't died). I sent this on the 15th June 2014 (I know seems like a century ago). If this works you will be reading this or will have received it 10 years later exactly in 2024. You're 26 now, a long way away from 16 the age I am now. Look obviously technology is limited nowadays so I can't send a letter to my PAST self telling him not to screw up so I can only help you remember. I'll first of all mention recent events. So get ready for some nostalgia. I have 5 more GCSE exams Biology, Physics, Chemistry and two Latin exams (sorry I reminded you). I've got my stagecoach Peter Pan performance in 3 weeks as Mr Darling (hopefully the rest of my time there was and will be good). and this brings me onto what happened yesterday to me and 10 years and 1 day ago to you. The day my heart actually died for real this time. The day you and I found I Maddie, our Maddie left stagecoach, the day you were going to ask her out. The first and hopefully not last. I don't know if she comes back or you meet her again and maybe even get together but if you know her as a friend or don't have someone to call your own then find her. You might not remember what she looked like or her voice but just remember how you felt. Your first true love and hopefully only. Please, not just for me but for you. Ok i have a long life and a lot of things to say so i'll spread this out over a few years. Next year you'll receive another with another message. Listen to that one as well as this one and please make yourself proud :) Yours sincerely and personally, Jake Oliver Beaumont, 16 years old 15th June 2014 P.S.the photo is from stagecoach and hopefully you recognise Maddie but just in case back 4 from right .
