Dear FutureMe,
A few days ago you got a letter from me back at 22. Those were quite the times, weren't they? All of the university times were still fresh, and I haven't put on that 20 pounds...oh wait, was it 30? Either way, I asked myself if I had left Calgary and flying high in places far away.
Did I do what my past self has asked me to do? Am I reading this living a new life in a place far away, or am I still where I was? Either way, I hope you are happy and content with whatever you're doing now -- you were quite an unhappy and unsatisfied chap then, and we were on quite the road back.
Take care of yourself, and say hi to Steven and Grandma for me when you get a chance. This was a good time for you, and I hope it continues. It's your life, and this year I learned I had to live it for myself. Are you traveling to the beat of a different drum...yours...still? If you aren't, then DO IT ALREADY!
Love,
Yourself at 24
P.S.: Remember the time you cut yourself browsing for a knife at that store in North Hill? Did you by any chance repeat that again? Lordy, it was hilarious when it happened to me that time, in a macabre sort of way. Or insane. Either way, take your pick!
P.S. #2: Steven is the best thing that has happened to you. Be good to him like I always was. That is barring that you guys haven't broken up or are in the middle of that. Then whoever you are in love with, be good to them.
Epilogue
