Breaking records

Peaceful right?

Hey joe, I know its kind of cheesey, but I like to remind you of how awesome life is sometimes. I hope you still love god, and still love what you do as a performer. I wanted to remind you that on Oct 6 and 7 you were a part of a try out toys record alongside Kevin, Kitty, and the ever beautiful Kelsey. The message posted by Micheal Glenn on the .org is as follows I just posted this to my tribe blog, but I thought it might be cool to share these thoughts with this community. Blog entry #5 Hey I just wanted to share something cool with everyone, and hope that you can apply some things that I've found useful to achieving your own dreams and breaking your own records. 6 years ago this week we opened our first sphereplay booth at the Texas Renaissance Festival. We offered 3"clear, 2.75" clear, 2.5" clear and black & 3" wood. That was it 5 types of spheres( we are now up to aprox 40 different sphere options) This was the fair where we decided that we needed to put out our first DVD, so we took all the money we made from the Ren fair and created the Sphereplay-Art of the Sphere DVD. Putting out this DVD was like a dream come true, at that point I had been playing for 10 years and had only met a few people who could teach me anything new with spheres. Well 6 years is a long time, now there are 10 of thousands of people who roll spheres around, some for hobby, some for show, some as a meditation and others just because they have to. I have learned from hundreds of different folks and the art form has become so much more focused and beautiful than it ever had been in an amazingly short period of time. I titled this post breaking records since I look at the past 6 years and I realized that our company and this art form has come so far. As TryOut Toys this past weekend we were working 3 different Renaissance fairs sold a record number of spheres in one weekend. Between TX, NC & KC Ren fairs we sold over 300 spheres and DVD's, which means in a year from now about 100 of those folks will still be sphereplayers. I am quite proud of this since a personal goal of mine is to have as many cool people learning, playing and sharing their love of spheres. I realized another record breaking moment this week when I sent off a check for another run of Art of the Sphere DVD's. This means we have sold through 10,000 DVD's in just under 6 years, which makes our DVD, one of the most popular manpulation DVD's that has ever been produced! It makes me quite pleased that so many folks have been turned onto this art so much that our 1st DVD is in a record breaking category! How does this relate to your dreams and breaking your own records? My belief is that only you can decide what you want out of life and what you want to put back into it. Your own passions, dreams and drives will shape what you are happy with during your lifetime and what paths you may explore. All of us go through our lives wanting to make so sort of contribution to this world, making our mark as the saying goes. I believe the only way to truly make one's mark is to follow what your passionate about and follow it like a bloodhound chasing down a fox! Be tenacious, thickheaded at times, yet mutable enough to follow the proper path your dreams, or the fox, take you on. Don't ever stop; keep moving towards your goal even though you may not like the pace. Don't let other's deter you; sometimes, even with the best of intentions, people have a tendency for complacency. They might look at you like you need a check-up from the neck-up and that's when it's most important to keep pursuing your passion. Focus on your goals and achievements; be realistic with the ground you've covered as well as where you still want to go. Remember to smile and play as you get to where you want to be. I usually sign off Be Great!, and I really mean it that I really want you to achieve greatness. Humanity is only as good as it's "weakest" member and to help others towards greatness is a way to truly become great. Be Great! Really!!!!!!! I suggest you continue to heed his advice. I hope that you had a trueley awesome experience down at TX, and that you are doing wonderful things, at least on a personal level, with your juggling. Be pimping Lord Shizzle XD Oh yeah, Happy Birthday :D Whats it like being 20?
