Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, ok. it is 11:25 on July 16th, 2007 and I am writing to you (me) so that maybe the future me will find insight or at least some small beacon of hope from this letter from the self i am now to the self i will be then. from now on the (me) will be understood. first and foremost, i hope you are happy. not the kind of happy that is fake, but the kind that is genuine. i hope you have made new friends but kept the old. they are great for you and they love you. i hope you haven't forgotten the inside jokes and thousands of pictures. i dont care what has happened between now (when i am writing this) and now (when you are reading this)...go call them. tell them you love them and you don't know what you would do without them. i hope that your nephew knows you and loves you. i hope you get to see him enough. and on that subject, i hope you are not getting too homesick. i hope you and your sister are still best friends and i hope you still call her when you need someone to talk to. i hope you haven't forgotten that the two of you should get mathcing tattoos. (if you haven't already) i hope you are still at college and making the best of what i hear are the greatest years of your life. i hope you have kept searching for some kind of religion that makes you feel complete. i hope you didn't disregard everything that you've been taught. and i hope that if the search isn't over you're still hard at work. i hope you still love art and are confident in what you want to do with it in your life. i hope you still paint because you love it and are passionate about it. i hope you got a treble clef tattooed on your wrist when you turned 18 and still love it. i hope you remember all the music you love now and have been adding to the collection. i hope you listen to your records when you are home. i hope you are still playing the guitar (and are much better). i hope you are still writing down quotes from all the songs you love and i hope that you have been to so many concerts, you couldn't even begin to list them. i hope that you've had relationships that make you smile when you think back on them. i hope you have found/ will find someone that makes you happy and loves you for who you are. this is a pretty long list to live up to, but im going to give you the benefit of the doubt. even if some of this hasn't happened and some of the things that seem perfect now are completely different, i think the moral of this story is: i hope you are still you. you have a good idea of who you are now, so embrace it and love it. !
