I really can’t believe it. I’ve been seeing this lad I’ve fancied since 2024 and we’ve been through a lot together. But you know what? He’s grown cold towards me. I used to dress revealingly because I had male friends, and he didn’t even explain any of this to me honestly. Still, I love him so much and it hurts so much inside. I’m in my final year of secondary school and I need to focus on my university entrance exams – and I will. But my heart is in such turmoil. Remember when we were confiding in each other, with the sea in front of us, the sky and the stars above us, and I was lying on his chest? A shooting star fell, and I prayed to God for a man like him to come into my life. 2... And I only managed to keep one; I’ll never know what his second wish was, but he’d wished for me in his first wish—that’s what he said. So when he felt restricted, he’d drift away from me. I’d call him, afraid he’d leave me, and that’s exactly what happened. Whenever anyone leaves my life, I’m devastated, but now I’m literally falling apart. This is on a whole other level. All I asked of you was not to take drugs, not to give me empty dreams and false hopes, and when you came to my town, I asked you for a T-shirt. For your birthday, I made a diary of the memories we shared and stuck labels on it...For your birthday, I wrote down the moments we’ve shared with my own hands and stuck on some stickers; I was going to get prints of our photos made and stick them on too. I’m still keeping even the wrapper of the chocolate you bought me. Why did you hurt me so much? Why did you ruin our friendship? I used to look forward to seeing you in the summer. Why did you take my little joys away from me? Why? I didn’t deserve this. You tell me, ‘You were the right person at the wrong time’ – well, **** that. I did everything I could to create the right time for you. You promised me. You really want a little girl; she’ll be named after me. I kissed each of your wounds, one by one. You cannot take away my kisses. You promised me. You must keep your word. I have never cursed anyone in this life, but may my curse always rest upon you. I hope the little girl resembles me so much that every expression, every part of her, every word she speaks reminds you of me. I hope your life is very beautiful, but you will never be able to forget me. You will regret it. But there is no turning back now. I’m writing these things down here because I can’t explain them to anyone; I can’t eat, I can’t laugh, my tears are half-hearted, and I can’t sleep. I’m writing this so that I don’t forget, and so that I don’t end up back in those days again. Friends, do you know what this man taught me? He said, ‘Don’t think with your own mind and heart. Look to the mind and heart of the person in front of you.’ Because my heart was so pure, so innocent. I was always thinking the best of everyone. He was right. Don’t let yourselves end up in this situation. It’s not worth it – really, it’s not. All of you, every single one of you, each and every one of us, are so precious. Whether we’re good or bad, don’t do this to yourselves. I discovered this place years ago and I don’t think I’ve ever published an open letter. But I want everyone to know this story – which began like a fairy tale and then crashed to the ground like a pile of rubbish – and to understand it so they don’t end up in the same situation. It’s the end of the world, but it really is the end of the world.
