A letter from Apr 09, 2024

Dear FutureMe, How ya holding up? You're pretty sad, like way too sad, and surprisingly sad knowing that Larry is leaving. You're losing your best friend, your cribbage partner, someone you can be yourself around. That's kind of a big deal in your world. I know you know you're strong and will move through this like a champ. I know that you understand the situation. I know that you Get It. We know all this. But, it can (and does) still hurt. You're going through a time where you relish and value the Connections you have. Because there are so few of them. When one of them is no longer in your life... well, it's tough. Soon, Nicole will be leaving as well. You'll still talk to her daily on WhatsApp, but it's nice to have the in-person experience. I guess this is the start of a bunch of changes.
