Dear FutureMe,
Hi, its Summer McCormick. I’m in 8th grade currently, and 13 years old. I enjoy tennis, softball, math, and listening to music. Someday I hope to be either a preschool or kindergarten teacher. Most people believe that I can’t do it, but I think I can. In high school I have many things I’m hoping to achieve. As I’m hoping to be in intro to radio tv, and band because those are my favorite classes. I’m also hoping to be a teacher’s assistant in 9th and 10th grade. I think that being a teacher’s assistant will help me reach my goal sometime in the future. In high school I’m going to be doing tennis and hopefully golf. I’ll probably also do student council, and sunshine society. For college I hope to go to either Penn State, or Ohio State University. I’d have to get a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and go through training with the school I’ll work for. Teaching will affect my future because there won’t be a lot of free time for me. I’ll be grading or doing lesson plans in my free time. I don’t want to go to trade school. I am hoping that I can immediately start working after college, although it may not be an option. When I’m an adult I’m hoping to be married at like 31. Probably only going to have 2 kids or adopt 1 kid. I hope to live in a house and not an apartment so that I can have space to do stuff that I love. My occupation is going to be an elementary teacher, and I’m probably going to have a side job because teaching doesn’t pay that well (That’s what I’ve heard from other teachers).
Honestly, I just want to live a life knowing that I’ve done everything I’ve wanted to do. Whether or not its teaching, or even being the best I can possibly be in life, taking risks and stuff like that. I just want to be able to say that I’ve done everything I wanted to before I die. If I become a teacher, my life will be complete. Its just my passion and my dream.
