Dear FutureMe,
Today (and yesterday) Afghanistan fell to the Taliban. Really, we should have listened to Ron Paul in the beginning and not even gone in, in the first place. Of course, both Obama and Trump had plenty of time to plan and execute an intelligent withdrawal, and neither of them did. Biden has now stepped in it.
There were 83,000+ Afghans that supported us against the Taliban. We (the USA) did the honorable thing with the Laotians who would have been massacred if we left them behind when we exited Southeast Asia. Did we do the honorable thing with the Afghans?
