A letter from February 17th, 2021

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Hey, this is 16, almost 17 year old you. I’m scared, I’m scared of the future. You wasted your precious teenage years ******* studying or staying indoors on your phone, you didn’t make any memories. And if you think I’m wrong, go ahead, think about what you remember from this period of your life. Nothing, right? NOTHING. 16 years of your life absolutely wasted. It’s new year today, year 2026. You’ll turn 22 this year (lmao boomer). You’re out of uni by now. LISTEN, go out, get drunk, go on that roadtrip with your boyfriend (and istg if you still don’t have one, you’re a ******* loser and I mean it wtf did you do in uni nerd??) or friends, go lay on that grass field and watch the stars, go for a walk on the beach at night, go to concerts literally go live your life, have fun, make memories, please make memories. You’re only gonna live for like 80 sum years, don’t waste it. Explore the earth while exploring the outer space as well. Don’t have any more regrets please because I already have a lot, one of the biggest being not enjoying my teen years. Don’t have any similar regrets. You better be happy rn, no more sad bs okay? You have your whole life ahead of you. Have fun and get that bread. Love, Angry 17 year old you.
