Dear Julio,
Right now I'm about to start the first semester of my senior year, which means that by the time you read this, you'll be about to start your freshman year in college. Whatever you decide to study, I hope that you chose it because it makes you happy above all else. Don't listen to Mom, Dad, or anyone. You know what's best for you, and I trust you.
I'm also hoping that you managed to get your grades up for this semester, I know it's hard, specially during online school, but I also know that you're really smart, and you can do anything you set out to do. Even if you don't manage to get the best grades, just know that I'm really proud of you. You pulled through! You made it out of the IB, and that's an acomplishment on its own. Speaking of the IB, I'm still deciding wether or not I should get the diploma. After the M20 results, my confidence is really low, and I don't want to just throw $750 in the trash, specially if I'm not even going to USE the diploma to get into a good college. I know you'll make the right choice, and if you decide to take the tests, remember you're more than just a score.
I don't know how the world's like when you're reading this but I hope it's better than it is right now, with the whole covid thing. I hope everything's back to normal (although I doubt it, seeing how things are going right now) and that you've had the chance to enjoy your last year with your friends. Whatever you may be going through right now, remember that there's good coming your way.
Finally, here are some things that I need you to do for me:
Open the letter from 2018
Find a girlfriend (or a boyfriend, just find someone who loves you as much as you love them)
Travel! We still haven't been to New York.
Enjoy every minute, the best is yet to come.
Keep learning french and italian.
I love you, please pleas PLEASE never forget that.
I look forward to whatever's coming next,
-Past You
