Dear FutureMe,
I hope this letter finds you well. At the time of writing, I am currently studying in Japan for a year - you remember, right? Right now, it's not going fantastically - the university is rubbish, I'm really struggling with learning Japanese and the people are starting to bug me. But I know that when you look back, unless you really think hard about it, you'll only remember the good bits - so yay, I guess?
By the time you get this letter, you should hopefully have a Real Job. I have no clue what though so... good luck with that. The year before you should have taken another gap year - I hope you enjoyed it, whatever you ended up doing. And as for your final last year of uni (next year, for me)... give me a heads up about what to expect, okay? I'm so looking forward to being home, but as most people will have left already it's going to be very strange. But again, when you look back on it from your time, I'm certain you'll miss it anyway. I'll be sure to make the most of it for you.
As for the Boy... we'll see what happens. He's coming out to visit in a month or so, which I am far too excited about given that we're not actually together any more. I hope whatever has happened in the future, he's still your friend and can still make you happy. Same goes for all my current friends, actually; I hope you're still in touch with all of them. I'll do my best to set that up for you this end, but you have to stick to it.
Right. I'm not too sure what else to say, this is really weird. So. Good luck with everything, FutureMe, and I guess I'll be (seeing) you pretty soon.
Take care of yourself,
PastMe
